CLINICAL STUDIES

Study One:

The Journal of Geriatric Dermatology found that weakened facial muscles is one of the main causes associated with changes in facial wrinkles and sags.

Participants: 8 healthy, older females with signs of facial laxity

Methodology: 8 week mechanically aided facial exercise program based on progressive resistance

Results: Bio-mechanical extensibility decreased and their facial skin had become firmer and more elastic. Change corresponded to changes in condition of their facial muscles, which was measured by the time they could hold a high resistance load or number of repetitions within a fixed time frame

Study Two:

The Society for Investigative Dermatology also found that weakened facial muscles is one of the main causes associated with changes in facial wrinkles and sags.

Participants: 15 healthy older females showing facial laxity

Methodology: 3 months of mechanically aided facial exercise with progressive resistance.

Results: Significant differences found when comparing after 3 months. Extensibility decreased while their facial skin had become firmer and more elastic. They could also hold a high resistance load for a longer period of time.
